Matthew Klassa

Matthew Klassa

North Carolina State University (NCSU)

 

Matthew Klassa is a junior in Paper Science & Engineering and Chemical Engineering at NC State University with a varied background in Scouting leadership, process engineering, scientific research and customer service. Passionate about developing and mentoring talent and combining sustainability and continuous improvement with engineering processes.

This past summer (June - August 2020), Klassa was a Process Engineering intern at International Paper where he helped optimize the waste managerment system in a mill and helped supervise several jobs duriing the mill's annual outage.


 Emma Smith

Emma Smith

University of Maine

 

Emma Smith is a senior in Chemical Engineering at the Unversity of Maine. She was certified Lean Size Sigma Green Belt (ISGB) in 2019.

Smith has been a process engineer co-op intern at SAPPI North America since July 2019.  The prior summer, she was a process engineering intern at SaPPI North America and worked on multiple process optimization projects to get a new paper machine running. Duties included data analysis, summarizing data, presenting data, and documenting new machine trends.


 Camille Brule

Camille Brule is a student at North Carolina State University majoring in Chemical Engineering and Paper Science Engineering.

This summer (June - August 2020) she held an internship as a Technical Sales Engineer at Solenis. She also held an internship at Tellus as a process engineer from July 2019 through December 2019.
